DESNZ announcement today seems lukewarm
The announcement today of the upgraded UK strategy for energy security and net zero is not convincing. Hydrogen is briefly mentioned but there is no plan to install onshore wind to deliver the hundreds of hydrogen stations required. Thousands of onshore wind turbines are needed if refuelling hydrogen vehicles is to be economic. Even if UK produces 1 million tons of green hydrogen by 2030, it will be in the wrong place. EU is planning 10 Mton which looks more sensible, Get a grip Grant.
