About the event
This workshop shows how important West Midlands is for UK vehicles, going green and electric with hydrogen fuel. Therefore we need local renewable Wind/Solar to power buses, trucks, taxis etc (also feeding buildings) keeping costs down and running independently. Local private microgrids described can connect to the grid for back-up but run autonomously on new 10MW scale distributed green power installations, saving large sums of grid money and making profits after payback time of 4 years.
This is the 31st Midlands Hydrogen Fuel Cell Event, organized by Kevin Kendall, displaying the benefits of green hydrogen electrolyser and fuel cell technologies, especially for local Communities failed by existing companies. The first session shows how far England has slipped behind since David Cameron killed onshore wind and held back solar. China is advancing fast, USA is injecting mass money, Europe is rising and Scotland looks ten times more progressive than the Midlands.
After lunch has 3 breakout sessions, mainly trucks and heavy vehicles, while discussing investments, and electrolyser/engineering products and science. Finally, the last session looks at electrolyser prospects, hydrogen aircraft and the technologies needed to fill hundreds of hydrogen buses being procured in West Midlands by 2025.
