MORE HYDROGEN BUSES AT BIRMINGHAM GAMES
The athletics started at the Games yesterday so I went to the Alexander Stadium to see if any hydrogen buses were operating on route 51 from Walsall to Birmingham centre. The numbers had improved since last week when I only found 1 hydrogen bus compared to 23 diesels. Yesterday, I took a ride on several hydrogen buses and found a total of 5 over a two hour period, compared to 25 diesels. The conclusion is that National Express (NX) are testing more hydrogen buses now but have still not begun to operate all 20 on route 51. More progress needs to be made in order to get 20 hydrogen buses and no diesels.
