GOVERNMENT TAKEOVER GRID NESO
DESNZ announced last Friday 13th that it has taken over National Energy System Operator (NESO) from National Grid, to be launched on 1st October, working with the new company Great British Energy on renewables, where the Grid has been rather sluggish in connecting wind turbines and solar farms. The new energy act 2023 has been used to get this novel partnership going, to protect consumers from the ridiculous high UK electricity prices, and ensure that a new clean green energy system can be built for the future in Britain. The Grid is a monopoly that has resisted moves to cheap green electricity in recent years and needs changing fast.
