SCOTLAND BACKS DOWN ON 2030 TARGET
Scottish ministers have had to accept that the 75% cut in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 cannot be achieved.
Mairi McAllan confirmed on 18 April that this key target is impossible, so must be replaced by a definition of emissions every five years. But the 2045 target of net zero is still OK.
