LABOUR MENTIONS HYDROGEN THREE TIMES IN MANIFESTO
Hydrogen is mentioned three times in the Labour Party Manifesto published last week. Several industries are prioritised in the document but Hydrogen gets special treatment aimed at 2030. £500M is being made available for Green Hydrogen Manufacture. Since Boris, £1bn was said by the present government to be injected into green hydrogen aiming for 10-20 GW of production but progress at DESNZ has been slow and 1GW has still not been achieved in 3 years. Things must accelerate now, and £500M could have a big impact if planning consents can be immediate.
