Yesterday, Thurs 5th Sept, the GB energy bill was debated at its second reading. It will now be debated in committee line by line until 15 Oct for its last debate before Lords approval. The speed of this bill suggests it is very high priority. It seems to mean that £5bn will go to Aberdeen, but I hope there is money prioritised for West Midlands which at present is a desert of almost zero renewables and little green hydrogen, not quite as bad as London, but second from bottom in the league table.
