Next week, bids for levelling up funds will be going in, hopefully grabbing some of the £100M on offer.
It will be most interesting to see how much goes towards green hydrogen, a true test of UK movement towards a hydrogen economy based on renewable energy, not fossil. This £100M, released now from the London black hole, compares to £3bn that came to Birmingham every year before the 2010 election when levelling down was exercised by the new conservative chancellor George Osborne who cancelled Advantage West Midlands immediately.
