In his Scotland speech last week, where green energy production is way ahead of England, Sir Keir Starmer talked hydrogen 4 times and refined his old line “Some nation will win the race for new hydrogen power, why not us?”. He is committing to double the present Government target for Green Hydrogen and promised in his first year after election to inject up to £500m into green hydrogen manufacturing over the parliament”. Thios is good news and hopefully will affect the poor actions we are experiencing at present, especially on transport which emits one third of our fossil CO2 pollution. UK is a factor 64 behind China when it comes to developing hydrogen refuelling stations. It has to improve now.
