A sudden rise in price for refuelling your hydrogen car in California suggests that they are using expensive grid electricity and not making H2 on-site from Wind/Solar. The H2 fuel retailer, True Zero runs 37 out of 53 hydrogen refueling staions in Los Angeles area and put the price up from originally $13.14/kg to $36/kg. This is the seconf hike since it went up last year to $30/kg. Green Hydrogen made on-site from Wind/Solar costs about $7/kg which should allow retailing at £13/kg. Somebody has got it wrong.
