We have just heard that the £10/kg + tax price of hydrogen refuelled at Tyseley in Birmingham is planned to rise to £16/kg+tax soon. A message came through from the company MotiveFuels running the hydrogen sales operation. This is very disappointing because the price in Germany is 9.5euro/kg including tax. The main point of having £10/kg price is that you can fill your car for half the cost of refuelling a diesel car, while obtaining a good range of 400 miles. I hope that readers of this forum will make useful and constructive comments on this raise. My main point is that no-one will want to buy green hydrogen at the pump if the price is not a good incentive.
