A recent report shows that, in April 2024, new car sales in China were 50% 'New Energy Vehicles' which means battery-electric, hydrogen and plug-in etc. This is extraordinary because the projection was that this would happen in 2028. There is no doubt now that China is beating UK by far on the electric vehicle revolution. 25,000 hydrogen electric vehicles in China are planned by 2025, whereas UK has only a few hundred and is still arguing about banning new sales of combustion vehicles by 2020 or 2035. We need to get our act together now. (https://carnewschina.com/2024/04/20/chinas-ev-sales-now-over-50/)
