The Redcar project to supply green hydrogen to houses where it would be burned for space heating, cooking, hot water etc has been stopped according to the Financial Times. This is good news because it is far better to deply pure green hydrogen in Fuel Cells that produce both heat and power that can be used in heat pumps, electric ovens etc, just like hydrogen both heats and powers my Toyota Mirai car. If all 25Million homes in the UK had a 5kW fuel cell running on a hydrogen gas grid, then there would be no need for power stations and no need for 100,000 new ugly pylons to fill our electric cars in the 2030s.
