In the words of the report 'A reliable, secure and decarbonised power system by 2035 is possible – but not at this pace of delivery'. We have to replace fossil fuels now with hydrogen and catch up with our competitors in China, US, Germany, South America etc. Banning onshore wind in 2016 was one of David Cameron's major errors. Every hydrogen filling station needs a wind turbine and a solar farm. It is a simple and economic idea that needs to take hold instantly. 10,000 such locations across UK would solve all our problems and hydrogen would then be beating the grid for refuelling electric vehicles.
