Time & Location

About the event
Birmingham is the top UK city for hydrogen vehicles: The biggest hydrogen refuelling station and the largest hydrogen bus project plus one Hydrogen Fuel Cell company.
This is the 30th Anniversary Conference on Midlands Hydrogen and Fuel cells that started at Keele University in October 1993 and expanded to Birmingham in 2000. Tony McNally became the key organiser in 2003 and has successfully grown the meeting since then, with interest increasing every year.
Thirty years on, Professor Mark Ormerod, who jointly organised the 1993 Keele exposition, is giving the opening presentation to show how renewable energy, both wind and solar, can economically power Keele, the largest campus in Britain, providing green electricity and green hydrogen for massive energy storage, plus fuel for vehicles and power/heat for buildings/industries. Later speakers will describe hydrogen technologies and other applications in the Midlands, with future planning to make Birmingham the first UK Green Hydrogen City, extending eventually throughout the UK.
